Art Schlueter Jr. lives in Georgia, USA. He was 78 when he was diagnosed in February, 2021. His initial PSA was 10.70 ng/ml, his Gleason Score was 7b, and he was staged Unknown. His initial treatment choice was Brachytherapy (High Dosage with External Beam) and his current treatment choice is None. Here is his story.

I'm 79 prostate cancer detected in Jan of 2021, Have had a high and low PSA for 40 year, from 3 to 8, lost a testicle in my late 20's T level need to be suplemented so have been on T for over 30 years, during the last 40 years have have had four biopsys, so a lot of stress and also that prompted me to do a lot of research about prostate cancer. 30 years ago when you had a PSA of 8 urologist imediately jumped to the conclusion that you have cancer, my first high PSA my uriologist wanted to schedule me for surgery just based on a high PSA, said no need for a biopsy he said let's just do it.

I'm not stupid, knew RP kill sex life, no kids after that, also new it would have been foollish to do a RP without knowing if cancer was in the prostate or not, i insisted in a biopsy, back then just five samples, the apex, and two from the right lobe, my first biopsy came up negnative.

So times rocked on to stay fertile I took HCG along with T, HCG keep the testicles for shrinking and keep them producing sperm, so although I had my highs and lows PSA and from time to time a biopsy sex was good and five kids later I got a vasectomy.
