Kenneth Ridgeway and Irene live in England. At age 72 in March, 2016, he was not diagnosed with Prostate Cancer. Here is his story.

Hi Everyone.

5 yrs watch and wait. Dear don’t like the possible side effects of a biopsy up the back passage.

After a couple of years had to have a catheter for urine flow problems. For about a month.

Last year with no blood tests for 13 months, my urine retention became so bad, I felt very ill for the last three months before being admitted to hospital, emergency, for urine retention. I didn’t eat for these three months and was so tired I couldn’t do anything. They took nearly a litre of urine from my bladder. My kidney function was a serious 10. Number w risen to 44 . Still not good but am alive. Haha

Urologist got involved and had an MRI scan and bone scan. Last week had my biopsy. Surgeon wants me to start casodex and Prostap3. I have spoken to people that have their s treatment. Most of the side effects are not good. Looking at my scenario with all the study I have done for 5 yrs, I am now looking for any answers and feedback from others on this journey. I am 77 yrs young and am normally fit and always doing something. So not looking forward to being moody, no energy etc.

That's it for now. Thank you.
