THERE WAS NO RESPONSE TO AN UPDATE REMINDER IN 2020 SO THERE IS NO UPDATE.
I wish I had found this site before making quick decisions. Cancer skewed my ability to respond so I reacted with a get it done now mentality. My experience hasn't been awful but I wish I had a do-over to think it through on a more thought out basis. My biggest concern now is I never regained any penile volume or length. I've read studies where most men recover but I haven't. If anyone has any feedback on this, I would appreciate hearing from you. Also would like to know if there's any surgery or treatment for the condition. Thanks to all!
[There are mixed opinions on this topic, but some information about Penile Shrinkage after surgery can be found here. Some doctors acknowledge that the temporary loss of spontaneous erections ("morning wood") during the recovery period after surgery results in the erectile tissues becoming atrophied from lack of regular stretching. Others feel that removing a portion of the urethral tract (the prostate) results in some shortening. In reality, it may be a combination of both of these. In any case, it's important for doctors to properly inform patients in advance about possible side-effects. Patients should also be prepared to ask sensitive questions like this, since this can have a dramatic effect on our post-operative emotional well-being.]
