THERE WAS NO RESPONSE TO AN UPDATE REMINDER IN 2019 SO THERE IS NO UPDATE.

Diagnosed late January 2018 by surgical urologist. Since he is a traditional surgeon, (a knife guy) his first and only choice of treatment is radical prostatectomy. I pressed him for information on other treatment options such as rdiation and all he could do is refer me to a Radiation Oncologist. I am now in preparation for that type of treatment.

I did a Nuclear Bone Scan, Pelvic MRI and Lupron injection. Both scan and MRI showed no metastisis.

My radiation oncologist scheduled me for implantation of the Gold Seeds (markers) to be implanted along with SpaceOAR gel. This is the reason I am joining this blog. The procedure was done without the benefit of I.V. sedation; only a mixture of two pain pills. As a matter of patient rights, I want to share this event with all the prostate cancer victims: DON'T LET THE DOCTORS TELL YOU THAT A COUPLE OF PILLS WILL MASK THIS KIND OF PAIN ! ! ! I had tears running down my face. TELL YOUR DOCTOR YOU WANT THIS DONE IN A CLINIC WITH SOME KIND OF I.V. SEDATION.

I waited two years to have the biopsy done because at the time they would not do it under I.V. Sedation.
