Tom I and Roma live in Florida, USA. He was 61 when he was diagnosed in February, 2012. His initial PSA was 55.00 ng/ml, his Gleason Score was 8, and he was staged T4. His choice of treatment was ADT-Androgen Deprivation (Hormone) (ADT2). Here is his story.

At the beginning of the year, I noticed that my urine flow was weak but didn't bother going to a doctor. However, when I saw red pigmentation in my urine, I knew something was very wrong and the next day I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. My PSA was 55. This was early February and by the time I finished getting biopsy and CT/MRI, it was April. I was ready to have a robotic surgery to get rid of my prostate but when they told me that the cancer had metastasized to my lungs, I was in disbelief. So the doctor told me that he will start me on a hormone therapy. I started my hormone therapy (Zoladex and Casodex) on April 2. For I had no other metastases, I did my own research to find out if there were any other treatments that I could use but I found none. The only alternative that I found was Gerson Therapy. So, in addition to hormone therapy, I started Gerson on my own.

My PSA declined very gradually. It has been 8 months and it is still at 2.9. My testosterone count is negligible so possible cause was higher dihydrotestosterone (DHT) according to Snuffy Myers, so I stated to take Dutas (generic of Avodart) in October. I am very active still, walking a several miles a day and do exercise regularly. I jog once a week and have no problem with my lungs.

Hello everyone!

It's been 15 months since I found out that I had advanced prostate cancer and I am happy to report that I have not felt this well for a long time. Even better than before I found out about my cancer. The secret? Well, a year ago, I was resigned to the fact that there is no cure for my disease and that it was a matter of time before this hormone therapy stops working. However, I refused to believe that there is no cure for it, so I did all sorts of research and decided to give Gerson Therapy a chance. So, for more than a year, I have been consuming a enormous amount of carrots (in juice), vegetables, and brown rice. No meat of any kind, no salt, no sugar and no oil except for olive oil. This diet made me so healthy and I started to work out regularly. And here I am I feel like 45!

I've read a lot of books written by people who believe that cancer is nothing more than your body telling you that you need to take care of it. And that is exactly what I have been doing. I work full time with my two businesses and on the weekend, always climb a mountain with my girlfriend. I spend a lot of time in the forests, where I do a deep-breathing exercise.

My PSA started at 57 (March 2012) and got down to 2.0 by December, but it stopped going down until this past May. Then the last two readings were 1.5 and 1.2, as the Gerson Therapy started to kick in. At this point, I don't care about keeping my cancer at bay. No, I plan to get rid of them for good. My mentor in Japan who had 900 PSA in 2007 is now completely cancer free and I intend to follow his footsteps.

Hi, everyone!

It is amazing that there are so many ways to kill cancer. Although I am taking Cassodex and Lupron, I don't consider these as treatment because they will never kill the tumor. Currently, I am trying to improve my immune system by going all organic (as per Gerson Therapy) and eating nothing but vegetables. My diet is so strict that I take in no sugar, salt, oil (except for flaxseed oil) and no animal protein. I work out every day with weights and ride bike or jog at least three times a week. All this is to enhance my immunity, which is the only defense I have again cancer. I've lost 30 lbs since the beginning of Gerson Therapy all in fat. I am now very muscular and fit. What is so amazing is that people around me never suspect that I am fighting cancer.

My cancer had metastasized into the lungs which looked like a snowy night in the CT image. But now, my lungs are almost normal. My PSA is still hovering around 1~1.5 but I am not worried as it is very steady. The only thing that I cannot help is that my business gives me a lot of stress, which was one of the factors in developing cancer. I wish I can retire and have a no-stress life but unfortunately I can't afford such luxury at this point. I need to keep working to buy those organic vegetables and a variety of supplements.

My suggestion to those who are relying on medical treatment to improve their condition is this. We've got this abominable disease because we weren't taking care of our own body. Cancer is a God sent message that we should take care of our body. The message is not to go to the hospital but to reverse the bad habit we had acquired over the years. I truly believe that I can get rid of my stage IV cancer if I continue to feed myself with right food. As part of Gerson Therapy, I also do coffee enema 3 times a day, which is not by any means a picnic. However, by doing this, I flush out whatever little toxicity I take in right out of my body so my immune system can work on beating on those cancer cells.

I expect to report one day that my cancer is completely gone and I believe that day is not too far down the road. (Whilst we respect the right of any contributor to express their personal views, it must be said that many of the views stated here have no good foundation.)

Hello everyone!

I passed the two year mark and am still going strong. My PSA hasn't changed much in almost 9 months. It is at 1.3 now. I just can't get below 1 for some reason. I have been on Gerson Therapy drinking a ton of carrot juice and doing two to three coffee enema a day. Getting used to no sugar, no salt, no oil diet much better than I thought. Since all I eat is vegetables and some fish, my weight has been staying down at 140 lbs (from 165 lbs). Other than that, I should be exercising more but has been a little lazy. My excuse is that I have been too busy with work. I am developing a very innovative language software in Japan as well as trying to go on speaking engagements. I was in Hong Kong last month and am headed to Singapore at the end of this month. I've written a book a few months ago and these speaking engagements are to promote the book. So, all said and done, I am keeping a very busy, often times stressful life style but my PC has been behaving relatively well, KOW. From this month, I am stopping Zoladex to see what will happen. If PSA starts to rise above 3, I will restart it. I think I can keep it down with Gerson Therapy. I will increase the daily intake of green juice.

Hi everyone!

I am doing OK. My PSA jumped to 8 last month after being around 1 for two years. It is probably because I have been off medication. I just go back on Lupron and Cassodex. I would write more about my diet but YANA people don't seem to care to post it if I write anything about Gerson, so I will not mention it here any more.

After being in Japan, I moved to Florida where the climate would definitely put the cancer cells in hardship. My PSA has been fluctuating between 1 and 8 but mostly around 8 these days. I've learned to live with cancer. There are certain strict rules you must follow, i.e., diet, detoxification, etc. but it is only good for you anyway. I am as healthy as a person can get. I have no symptoms of prostate cancer. Living a healthy life. I stay away from doctors except for my blood test. As long as my PSA stays below 10, I have no business with any doctors who is only interested in cutting off part of me, burning my cells or poison me with hard chemicals, not to mention, breaking my bank account. I feel bad for those who relied on doctors to help them and end up only helping the doctors.

I'm playing golf three days a week under the Florida sun. Life can't be better if you don't mind doing coffee enema three times a day and drinking 5 vegetable juice a day. Let me share a secret. I enjoy doing coffee enema as I know it is energizing my liver to detox my body. As of today, I have not been sick (not even a slight cold) one single time ever since my cancer was detected. Here are my rules in living with cancer.

1. Keep your body warm. Winter is not good for you.
2. No sugar, no salt, no oil other than Flax seed oil.
3. Meditate for at least 30 min. a day, taking deep breath. Cancer cells hate oxygen.
4. Be grateful about everything. Cancer thrive when you are under stress.
5. Detox, detox, detox.

August 2016

It's been eight months since I arrived in Florida. I have been working outside on my property everyday, sweating bullets and physically exhausting myself. I'm so dark that often am mistaken as a Mexican. With abundant organic vegetables, I have been drinking 5 juices a day and doing 2-3 coffee enemas. I have been cheating on my diet somewhat as there is no sushi here in Florida, I have to offset it with other types of sea food, such as shrimps and clams. I eat one can of sardines a day plus two pieces of salmon for dinner.

When I went to my new oncologist last March, he put me on Xtandi but it made me nauseated so I quit taking it after two weeks. I still have the effect of the tail end of Eligard but once that is gone, I don't plan to go back on any medication. I need to get some testosterone back to give me more strength to do my building work.

Thanks to YANA mentor, I now have a few friends who are on the Gerson Therapy. We share our experiences and the joy of being "extremely healthy". It's been more than 4 years since I was diagnosed with stage-4 prostate cancer and now I am accepting the fact that I have to live with my cancer. There is a silver lining in this. That is, I remain very healthy. Detoxing 3 times a day is not easy but the health effect does beat any inconvenience.

UPDATED

January 2017

Not much to report at this time except that since I stopped taking any medication, my PSA has risen to 3.8 from around 2.5. My primary treatment now is the Gerson therapy, which consists of coffee enema (twice daily), 3 glasses of vegetable juice and no salt, no sugar diet. Technically I am supposed to drink 9 juices a day but instead I do a lot of physical work outside as I live in southern Florida. I drink a lot of water and sweat it all out during the day. I thinks this has a very good detox effect.

I feel pretty strong though I do get occasional pains from arthritis in my hands.
