UPDATED

May 2019

It's been a year since I submitted my story, not much has changed. Dr. and Urologist not happy with my decision of wait and see. Have become a diabetic since Feb. 2019. Metformin is Dr's drug of choice, but tried taking it twice and find urination almost impossible, major blood in urine from straining to pee waiting on Dr's appointment to see if another med. is available. I find it a major discomfort to get in and out of my truck now, have resorted to driving wife's Honda. Pain deep in my groin area is more often now, awake at night with a uncomfortable throbbing. Still up every 2-3 hrs, but Trueflow from health store takes the urgency away, only thing is capsules give me indigestion really bad. So its a toss up. Liver enzymes still elevated and rising, Dr. says no more Tylenol or alcohol. Cholesterol is high now, but dr. says no to statins because of liver trouble. 63 is turning out to be fun! Stay Tuned it's going to get exciting!

UPDATED

July 2020

Been awhile since I posted last. Not much has changed discomfort radiating out to hips, restless nights, every two hour bathroom breaks, that are useless be cause I can barely push a drop! Hardly any sleep unless I take sleep-aids though they tend to make me groggy the next day. Dr. today for a dark red rash of some sort that's sprung up all of a sudden from stomach down than splits down either side of my groin will be interesting to find out what it is ! .Unchecked diabetes, blood sugar out of control. On third string of meds now sugar can be 250 or higher and an hour later be 42! Liver enzymes all over the place! Only thing that is in order is blood pressure these days. EKG on Friday for some reason? Going to ask Dr's for a MRI and Sonogram, read an article from MD Anderson prostate Guy who claims that's the best test, found a local Doc who trained there with him. Will see him in 2 weeks I hope He is of some help.
