THERE WAS NO RESPONSE TO AN UPDATE REMINDER IN 2019 SO THERE IS NO UPDATE.

My dad (78) was diagnosed in May of 2017 with stage 4 prostate cancer...Gleason score of 8. After multiple scans and biopsies, the docs have determined that he has local or regional metastasis to his hip. One doc says it's too late while while another docs says it's not too late. He is so confused. The first doc said that he believed that it is already in his blood and has spread through his body while the other says that the frontline is the hip bone. He is on hormone therapy and will have his prostate removed next week. We are confused. At this point, is there any hope to stop or slow the spread of cancer in the hip? I do know that at this point his cancer is not curative, however, is it manageable or should we give up?
