THERE WAS NO RESPONSE TO AN UPDATE REMINDER IN 2018 SO THERE IS NO UPDATE.
I started getting my PSA level checked at 40 which was at 4 ng/ml. I had a DRE which showed no abnormality and was instructed to have regular testing done. Over the past two years my PSA has risen to 6.9ng/ml, I moved house and started going to a different doctor who had concerns of my PSA level compared to my age. I had a biopsy done on the 27th August 2015 and the results came back positive for prostate cancer. I have decided on the seed implants due to my age, PSA level and Gleason index plus I have spoken to other people who have had the seed implants with great success.
I am due to have the seed implants on the 16th November 2015 so holding thumbs.
The Brachytheraphy was carried out in November 2015 and my PSA has been checked every 3 months and has reduced slowly. The first 3 month test showed a big drop from 7 to 4 and is now at 1. Readings are not high but due to my age 43 and a biopsy being postie for cancer the Brachytheraphy was the said to be the best option for me.
I did take cannabis oil during this time as well and sometimes feel that if I new about the oil prior to the Brachytheraphy I would have tried the oil first as time was not an issue for me. As the side effects have had an effect.
The worst I have had to deal with is low testosterone levels which leads to low self drive which has effected me at work and home.
I am now going to have a PSA test once a year. I am not sure what to do about my testosterone levels as the theory is that this will assist in keep a low PSA however I need to change the way i feel.
I have planned in the new year to go and see a Homeopath on how to increase my testosterone levels naturally.
